Golconda
is considered to be one of the most prominent fort in India. Golconda Fort is one of the most important fort in the history of India. This
fort is witness to the upheaval of India for centuries, this fort had
unbreakable ability to change the history of India. The famous Kohinoor diamond in
the world is also a big gift to the world of this Fort. Historians believe that this fort
was built by the Hindu kings of Kakatiya Warangal in the 14th century, this
fort was built from the soil, later on this fort the Bahmani Sultans occupied
it,Later, the Qutubshah and Bahmani kings repaired this fort and built it in
granite rocks on a hill of 400 feet. Golconda was ruled by the Qutubshahi
Sultanate from 1518 to 1687, with the capital of Golconda Qutbhai from 1568 to
1590. There were many QutbShahs during this period, but the most
prominent and important among them was the fifth Sultan Mohammad Quli Qutb
Shah.(1545 - 1812) This Sultan was very famous among his Hindu citizen, he
established the city of Bhagyanagar by the name of his wife Bhagmati, next
to the Golconda fort, which was further changed to name Hyderabad.

Shah built a Jagdamba Mahakali temple inside the fort, which is a sign of Hindu
Muslim brotherhood. Golconda has been ruled by Muslim kings since sixteenth century
until the last Nizam, but no Muslim king broke the temple nor did it have any
dignity inside the fort.There are many buildings inside the fort.The most prominent among
which are Taramati Mosque, Ramdas Bandikhana, Naginabagh Durbar Hall, Bardari
Amber Khan.This fort has an enclosure wall of about 12 km. The
distinctive composition of this fort makes this fort different from the rest of
the body and extremely special. To reach this fort there are 4 entrances, 4
lift pools and keep an eye on the enemy there were 4 bastions built, there are
many palaces and halls in the fort.
At the
bottom is 'Fateh Darwaja', also called 'Vijaydwar', a precious iron fort is studded
on this door. Golconda has many attractive and amazing architecture which is
still a puzzle. Such as the water system of the fort, which is known as 'Rahabat'.

But the
most mysterious wake is the Talia Pavilion, also known as the modern sound
alarm, Talia Pavilion is no less than the mystery, the acoustics of this
place can surprise anyone. This place is close to the fort of Vijaydwar. While
playing, it is heard in the highest palace of the fort, which is 735 feet away
from here, it used to work as an alarm at that time, if someone came to meet the
king, then Sultan realized his presence from this pavilion. It was also used to
avoid the enemy.Any voice here could be heard even from 2 kilometres.

In the
area of the new fort, Golconda considered an African Baobaz tree, also known
as Hathi tree in the local language, that this tree is 624 years old, if
historians believe it is a gift had given by some Arab traders to Sultan Quli Qutb Shah .

It is
believed that there is a mysterious tunnel in the fort, this tunnel passes
through the lowest part of the fort outside the fort, during the emergency, the
royal family's people were built to carry the safe load but till now this
tunnel has not been detected.
The
Golconda fort has witnessed the rise and fall of many empires. But it is one of
the most talked about and few major battles of the country involved in the Golconda, In the year 1687 fight between the last Sultan of Qutb Shahi, Abul Hasan Qutub Shah
and Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. With the victory of Aurangzeb, the Sultanate of
QutubShahi, which has been running for 149 years, came to an end.

Historians
believe that Aurangzeb had stormed Golconda with his 90000 thousand soldiers,
50000 cavalry, 280 cannons Golconda was called the capital of the diamond ,in the
16th century, where Kollar's mines had many best diamonds, including Kohinoor.
Also included was the reason why many rulers including Aurangzeb wanted to take
over Golconda.

Despite
being attacked eight times, the Golconda fort remained impregnable, failing to
enter the fort, Aurangzeb chose the way of money, Qutub Shahi commander
Sarandaz Khan was bribed to open the back door of the fort and this trick of
Aurangzeb was successful.From the back door, the Mughals stormed the fort.
After a hard struggle of 6 months, Abul Hasan Qutb Shah threw arms in front of
the Mughals. Abul Hasan was arrested and kept in captivity at the fort of
Daulatabad. Qutb Shah died in 13 years of imprisonment.At a distance of 1 km
from Golkonda Fort, is the cemetery of Qutub Shahi royal families, in which the
tomb of all the royal family members are built, it is one of the most
luxurious and large cemeteries in the world, Sultan Abul Hasan Qutub Shah is
not destined for the soil of his homeland.
