ASHTAVINAYAK GANPATI MAHARASHTRA.
Lord Ganesh holds the position of the first deity
in Hinduism, there are eight ancient temples of Lord Ganesha in Maharashtra
which is called Ashtavinayak. Out of eight temples, 5 in Pune district, two in
Raigad district and one temple comes in Ahmednagar district, so in this blog,
we will every things about Ashtavinayak.
1 Moreeshwar Morgaon Located on the Pune-Baramati
road, 60 km away from Pune, this Lord Ganesh is known as Moreeshwar, in the
Puranas, Lord Ganesha came to this place by sitting on the Peacock (Peacock).
That is why Ganesha got the name Moreshwar. | Ganesha is decorated with the Dimonds in the idol's eyes and navel. Moreshwar has the first place in Ashtavinayak.
2 Siddivinayak Siddhatek This is a very beautiful temple of Siddhivinayak in the village of Huve situated on the banks of Bhima river in Karjat tahsil place of Ahmednagar district, it was renovated by Punyashlok Ahilyabai Holkar. Siddhtech is about 103 km from Pune.
3 Ballaleshwar Pali is 111 km away from Pune and 37 km from Khopoli in Raigad district. This temple is made of black stone.This temple has a grand bell which Chimaji Appa donated to the temple. Near the temple is the ancient fort of Sudhagarh and Sarsagarh, there is also hot waterspring.
4 Varadavinayak Mahad This is on the Khopoli-Khalapur road on the Pune-Goa National Highway. This temple is very simple. It is a right-trunked idol of Lord Ganesha. This temple was built by Bajirao Peshwa in 1625. Ganesha of Mahad is known as Varadavinayak.
5 Chintamani Theur It is located at a distance of 30 km on the Pune-Solapur road. The Ganapati of Theur is known as Chintamani. The tomb of Thorle Madhavrao Peshwa is also here, and an exhibition depicting the life of Peshwa Madhavrao is shown.
6 Girijatmaka of Lenyadri is only 14 km from Ojhar, 95 km from Pune and 4 km from Junnar. This Ganesh temple is situated on a hill, more than 400 staircase have to be climbed to get to the top. If we look closely, it is an ancient Buddhist cave, later it has been converted into a Ganesh temple. The Shivneri Fort birthplace of Chhatrapati Shivji Maharaj is also near here the
7 Vighneshwar of Ozhar is the fifth Ganapati located at Junnar tahsil in Pune district, about 45 km away from Pune. He is considered to be the most common Gansha in Ashtavinayak. The forehead of the idol is studded with diamonds and the eyes are studded with rubies, this temple was built by Bajirao Peshwa's brother Chimaji Appa on the banks of the Kukri river. The devotees have also made arrangements to stay here. Nearby is the Arvi satellite center, which is the largest telescope in Asia.
8 Mahaganapati Ranjangaon is a beautiful temple of Mahaganapati Ranjangaon, 40 km away from Pune on the Pune-Aurangabad road. Mahaganapathi idol has ten
hands and is seated on the lotus flower of the Lord, this idol is of the 10th
century and is a right-trunked Ganesha.
So these
